Received at <br />Meeting City Council <br />2/19/2019 <br />Honorable..... <br />I am writing to ask the following question to you: <br />How important is it to the city of Santa Ana to have a SAFE, <br />FRIENDLY, WELL -KEPT, APPEALING neighborhood? <br />1) What is considered a safe neighborhood? When I tutored in <br />South County several years ago, the first thing the students would <br />Santa Ana, we didn't even own a key to our home. Today, of <br />course, it is a different story. The police have been dealing with <br />t - - _ •, t - • +• ••• • •• <br />2) What is a friendly neighborhood? One that greets one another as <br />the children ride their tricycles , bicycles, skateboards, or walking <br />their dogs, etc. How about a neighborhood that young and old <br />walk alone, with friends, family, visitors from out of town, even <br />those who work nearby also smile and greet one another. A <br />• « s « • •• • — r •• t• e. <br />the airport, doctor appointment, even in case of an emergency. <br />
