Vendor did <br />not meet mandatory state prevailing wage requirements for sub -contractor registration. <br />2. Award a one-time purchase and payment of purchase order to Ultimate Pool Remodeling, <br />Inc. for swimming pool resurfacing and repairs at the Memorial Pool, Salgado Pool and <br />Santa Anita Pool in an amount not to exceed $365,998.24, subject to non -substantive <br />changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney. <br />3. Approve an appropriation adjustment to recognize prior year fund balances and appropriate <br />$78,846 into the Residential Development District 1 Fund and $50,357 into the Residential <br />Development District 3 Fund. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency, General Maintenance Division is <br />responsible for maintaining the aquatic centers and water features within the City of Santa Ana's <br />parks system. Due to the heavy use of the aquatic facilities, especially the five public pools, the <br />facilities are in constant need of repair and maintenance. Pool resurfacing is recommended every <br />3-7 years to prevent injury and stop leakage. Staff evaluated the condition of the pool surfaces and <br />recommended that Memorial, Salgado, and Santa Anita pools be resurfaced. In addition to <br />resurfacing, the total also includes replacing the hand wheel at the Memorial Pool, pool deck and <br />handrail at Salgado Pool and replacing existing pool lights for all three pools. <br />The notice inviting bids for resurfacing and repair of the pools was advertised on January 14, 2019, <br />on the City's online bid management and publication system. A mandatory pre-bid job walk was <br />conducted at all three pool locations. A summary of the bid invitations and bids received is as follows: <br />20A-1 <br />
