Memorandum of Understanding <br />with SCAG and contract <br />agreements for planning <br />consultants to provide technical <br />support as part of a <br />Sustainability Planning Grant for <br />$325,000 by the Southern <br />California Association of <br />Governments (SCAG). This grant <br />enabled the City of Santa Ana to <br />hire three consulting firms to <br />ensure that the Santa Ana <br />General Plan Update reflects <br />economically, socially, and <br />environmentally sustainable <br />practices. Staff has commenced <br />technical work coordination <br />with consultants in preparation <br />of the draft document and <br />evaluation of land use <br />alternatives. <br />(PBA) In addition, staff <br />presented the General Plan <br />Policy framework to the City <br />Council in December of 2018. <br />The policy document includes a <br />vision statement, goals, policies <br />and land use map alternatives. <br />(PBA) The city successfully <br />completed the extension of the <br />Metro East Use Overlay District <br />expansion project as part of <br />funding source received from <br />the Southern California Air <br />Quality Management District <br />which serves to extend a transit - <br />oriented plan area to promote <br />multi- modal transportation and <br />urban infill development. <br />65A-30 City of Santa Ana Legislative Scorecard 2018 12 <br />
