REQUEST FOR COUNCIL/ <br />HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />ACTION <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: <br />MAY 7, 2019 <br />TITLE: <br />APPROVE FIRST AMENDED AND <br />RESTATED PHASE II MEMORANDUM OF <br />UNDERSTANDING WITH CO -LOCATED <br />PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS AT THE <br />WORK CENTER AND AUTHORIZE <br />REIMBURSEMENT FROM PARTNERS IN <br />THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $1,280,530 <br />(STRATEGIC PLAN NO. 2,4) <br />CITY MANAG R EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />CITY COUNCIL ACTION <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br />APPROVED <br />❑ As Recommended <br />❑ As Amended <br />❑ Ordinance on 151 Reading <br />❑ Ordinance on 2nd Reading <br />❑ Implementing Resolution <br />❑ Set Public Hearing For <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute a First Amended and Restated <br />Phase II Memorandum of Understanding with the Santa Ana Workforce Development Board <br />and the City of Santa Ana - WORK Center, State of California Employment Development <br />Department, County of Orange Social Services Agency, SER — Jobs for Progress, Inc., State <br />of California Department of Rehabilitation, Santa Ana Housing Authority which outlines the <br />sharing of resources and expenses associated with the operations of a comprehensive one <br />stop center for a term beginning May 7, 2019 to June 30, 2022 and reimbursement from the <br />partners in the estimated amount of $1,280,530, subject to non -substantive changes approved <br />by the City Manager and City Attorney. <br />2. Authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute non -substantive amendments <br />such as adjustment of shared operational expenses during the term of the Memorandum of <br />Understanding. <br />3. Authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute a sublease agreement with <br />the County of Orange Social Services Agency in which the County agrees to pay rent to the <br />City an amount not to exceed $189,788 for a term expiring June 30, 2023, subject to non - <br />substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney. <br />4. Authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute a sublease agreement with <br />the State of California Employment Development Department in which the State agrees to <br />pay rent and reimburse one time charge for tenant improvements to the City an amount not <br />80A-1 <br />
