Access to education, transportation, <br />childcare, and housing are key components that can assist persons to secure and retain economically <br />self-sustaining employment. <br />The City will employ a variety of strategies to help alleviate poverty, including efforts to stimulate <br />economic growth and job opportunities, and to provide Santa Ana residents with the skills and abilities <br />. <br />required to take advantage of those opportunities. The City works closely with local institutions to initiate programs that link economic <br />incentives with neighborhood and community development objectives, including building relationships <br />with neighborhood associations, community -based lending agencies, nonprofits, and educational <br />institutions. The City also supports programs aimed at enhancing coordination among various City <br />departments.
