Water Quality Management Plan (WQMP)
Mainplace Mall Specific Plan
A storm drain system in the on -site ring road primarily accommodates drainage from the existing
mall building. The site surface lots generally drain away from the mall building toward Mainplace
Drive on the west and north sides of the Mall and toward Main Street on the east side of the mall.
A more detailed description of drainage patterns and connection points follows:
Discharge Point A (CP-A): Approximately 19.2 acres of the site, including the mall building, drains
into the existing on -site loop road storm drain and into an existing 30" City reinforced concrete
pipe (RCP) that runs northwest under Mainplace Drive. The City RCP discharges into the adjacent
Caltrans North drainage system.
Discharge Point B (CP-B): Approximately 11.2 acres of the northwest portion of the site, including
most of the two existing parking structures in the northwest quadrant, drains to an existing V'
City RCP that runs northwest under Mainplace Drive. The City RCP also accommodates drainage
form the Mainplace Drive right-of-way and discharges into the adjacent Caltrans North drainage
system.
Discharge Point C (CP-C): Approximately 11.7 acres of the North-east portion of the site (Ex-Cl,
Ex-C2), including surface parking and a portion of the existing Macy's building, drains to a series
of on -site inlets and drainage pipes. This portion of the private drainage system discharges to the
Main Street storm drain system.
Discharge Point D (CP-D): Approximately 7.2 acres of the site, comprising the south-west parking
lot (Ex-D1), drains to an existing on -site catch basin that connects to the existing V' City RCP.
This RCP runs west under Mainplace Drive, accommodates additional drainage from the
Mainplace Drive right-of-way, and discharges to the Caltrans South drainage system.
Discharge Point E (CP-E): The existing easterly parking structure, approximately 3.6 acres, drains
to existing on -site inlets and drains. This portion of the private drainage system discharges to the
Main Street storm drain system.
Discharge Point E2 (CP-E2): A portion of the on -site loop road, approximately 1.2 acres drains to a
City storm drain system in Broadway. The Broadway storm drain runs from north to south and
discharges directly into Santiago Creek.
II.5 Property Ownership/Management
Describe property ownership/management.
