Pedestrian Oriented Signs <br />Sign Bands (Wall Signs) <br />DG -160 Commercial uses with entrances that have direct access to <br />private sidewalks should have an associated wall sign, <br />generally located within a sign band adjacent to the <br />entrance or in close proximity. <br />DG -161 Wall signs should be included on parking garages to help <br />consumers identify businesses that are obscured from <br />public view. <br />Signage for multiple tenants or businesses should be consolidated and <br />designed to be cohesive. <br />DESIGN GUIDELINES 1 4 <br />DG -162 Signage for individual businesses should occupy no more <br />than 80% of the width of that businesses fagade. <br />DG -163 For buildings with multiple tenants/occupants, wall signs <br />should share similar architectural characteristics, including <br />size, shape, color, and materials to provide continuity. <br />Some variation in signage is permitted to allow for <br />individualization of logos and branding. <br />DG -164 Awning or canopy signs, in lieu of building -mounted <br />signage, may be considered. <br />DG -165 Directional wall signs may be placed within parking <br />structures associated with a particular use. <br />Examples of wall signs for individual businesses. <br />MAINPLACE SPECIFIC PLAN 1 4-25 <br />
