DESIGN GUIDELINES 1 4 <br />All signage should be maintained and a clean line of sight maintained <br />for emergency access purposes. Exterior signs shall comply with <br />Regional Planned Sign Program 2014-01 and any approved <br />amendments. <br />A. Building Identity Signs <br />DG -155 Building identity signs should clearly display the use within <br />the building and be oriented towards 1-5, SR-22, or other <br />major thoroughfares such as Main Street. They should be <br />placed prominently on the top half of the building and <br />visible from far distances. <br />67- <br />Building identity signs should clearly identify the associated building or <br />development at a pedestrian level. <br />Building idenity signs should also be included on the building face when <br />adjacent to major roadways or high traffic areas. <br />DG -156 A maximum of one building identity sign should be placed <br />per major building elevation. Additional building identity <br />signs may be considered at the ground level to allow for <br />pedestrians to easily locate buildings. <br />DG -157 Building identity signs should be proportional to the height <br />and scale of the building they are placed on and must <br />follow all applicable standards for signage listed in the <br />Santa Ana Municipal Code. <br />DG -158 Building identity signs should be designed as a component <br />of the overall building and complement the architecture of <br />the building. <br />DG -159 Building identity signs maybe backlit or lighted to increase <br />visibility at night.
