Agreement with SAMA 2019-2022 <br />August 20, 2019 <br />Page 2 <br />The major provisions of this agreement include: <br />1. Term: Effective January 1, 2019 through June 30, 2022. <br />2. Salary: The agreement provides a cost of living adjustment of 3.5% effective July 1, 2019; <br />2020; 2021. <br />Medical: Effective January 1, 2020, the City shall contribute an additional $50.00 allowance <br />per month towards employee health insurance premiums. Effective January 1, 2021, the <br />City shall contribute an additional $50.00 allowance per month towards employee health <br />insurance premiums. Effective January 1, 2022, the City shall contribute an additional <br />$50.00 allowance per month towards employee health insurance premiums. <br />4. Dental: Effective January 1, 2020, the City shall contribute an allowance of $120 per month <br />per employee. Effective January 1, 2021, the City shall contribute an allowance of $125 per <br />month per employee. Effective January 1, 2022, the City shall contribute an allowance of <br />$130 per month per employee. <br />5. Long Term Disability (LTD): Effective January 1, 2020, the City shall increase the maximum <br />plan coverage benefit from $5,000 to $10,000. <br />6. Holidays: Effective January 1, 2020, the City shall add Cesar Chavez Day as a City <br />recognized holiday and add one additional (1) Floating Holiday. <br />7. Holiday Closure: The City and SAMA have agreed to a mandatory City-wide winter holiday <br />closure each year during the term of this MOU and shall sunset on June 30, 2022. <br />8. Management Vacation: Effective January 1, 2020, the City shall increase Management <br />Vacation (Management Leave) from 50 hours to 65 hours per calendar year. <br />9. Technology Stipend: Upon adoption of the MOU, City shall increase the technology stipend <br />from $75 per month to $100 per month. <br />10.Wellness and Fitness Reimbursement: Effective January 1, 2020, the City shall provide <br />employees reimbursement up to $300 per fiscal year for qualified wellness and fitness <br />programs. <br />11. Retiree Health Savings (RHS): Upon adoption of the MOU, City will contribute 1 % of base <br />pay to employee's ICMA-RC (RHS) account upon adoption of the MOU. <br />12. Credit of Unused Sick Leave: Upon adoption of the MOU, employees with at least ten (10) <br />years of full-time City service that retire from the City within one -hundred -twenty (120) days <br />of separation from employment can convert up to two thousand (2000) hours of accrued un- <br />used sick leave towards CalPERS service credit. <br />55B-2 <br />
