<br />SCOPE OF SERVICES
<br />A. HOMELESS ENCAMPMENT CLEAN-UP
<br />1. Homeless encampment clean-up services shall be scheduled or an an on -call basis. Contractor
<br />shall be promptly available and able to deploy sufficient staff to the City of Santa Ana at any
<br />time of clay; by request of the City.
<br />2. Encampments may be located within heavy foliage, embankments; train tracks, creeks,
<br />stormwater drainage facilities, and other areas requiring the Contractor to be alert to the
<br />surrounding environment and plan ahead to _prevent injury or illness,
<br />3. Contractor shall perform all cleanup duties listed below;
<br />a. Removal of unwanted natural or environmental materials including, but not limited
<br />to, fruit/vegetable matter, food matter; dirt, sand, nests, silt, grime; trees, brush, plants,
<br />and similar;
<br />b. Removal of all hazardous wastes including, but not limited to, feces; urine, blood,
<br />hypodermic needles, oil, gasoline; paint, propane; bleach; cleaning products, and
<br />similar;
<br />c. Removal of garbage, litter, cardboard, metal cans, glass, trash, and debris;
<br />d. Removal of funuture, mattresses, appliances; scrap metals, junk, automobile puts or
<br />machinery, tires, televisions and other electronic devices;
<br />e. Structure demolition, including wood framing, concrete, asphalt, bricks, or other
<br />construction debris;
<br />f: Hand sweeping (or blowing) of streets, alleys, sidewalks and similar areas to restore
<br />encampment sites to typical pre-existing conditions, whenever possible,
<br />4. Contractor shall collect, categorize, and measure quantities of all hazardous wastes,
<br />including bio-waste, collected during homeless and encampment cleanups. Contractor shall
<br />be responsible for property filling out all hazardous waste manifests.
<br />5. Contractor shall be responsible for the transportation of all hazardous wastes, including bio-
<br />waste, to appropriate disposal facilities.
<br />6. Contractor shall be responsible for complying will all applicable Federal, State, and Local
<br />Laws regarding the handling, categorization; storage, transportation, manifesting, and
<br />disposal of all hazardous wastes, including bio-waste.
<br />7. Contractor shall ensure no pollutants are discharged to the City's stormdrain system during
<br />homeless and encampment cleanups.
