having us to come back another day. Also, these has created problems like close encounters
with homeless people, doing their laundry naked and most of them don’t look like they are in
the right minds. This is very dangerous we are very worry about our health and safety. The
laundry room’s bathroom was vandalized with fecal matter all over the walls, and some
homeless person peed on the sink. Homeless leaving trash everywhere, sleeping in the
laundry room, somehow, they have found a way to break into the laundry room.
I have noticed that a washer/dryer has been stopped for over an hour and is still occupied,
clothes have been left by people that don’t live in our apartments and leave the premises and
we as residents cannot do anything because they get mad at us if we take their clothes out of
the machines.
We have written records of complaints about personal safety issues at the laundry room but
has fallen on deaf ears. The landlord told us the laundry room was private not public, he lied to
all of us and only to make profit.
I care for the place I live in, and it is unfortunate that I cannot wash my clothes whenever I need
to because our amenities don’t work properly, are crowded and also broken due to the misuse
of others that don’t live at the property.
Our landlord has the obligation of “DUTY OF CARE” to every resident that resides at Depot at
Santiago Apartments to make our laundry room a safe and healthy environment.
Please see attached letter I’ am sending you regarding issues we have with the laundry and
other things that was sent to the landlord back on March 5, 2019. This letter that I am sending
was signed by many residents at least 30 of us

Sincerely,

Diana Hoff
Depot at Santiago Apts 406
