Application City of Santa Ana- CDBG <br />City of Santa Ana <br />Nonprofit Application Fiscal Year 2020-2022 <br />Community Development Block Grant <br />City of Santa Ana- CDBG <br />DESCRIPTION OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT <br />• Minimum Amount of Funding Available Per Program: $60,000 <br />• Maximum Amount of Funding Available -Per Program: $150,000 <br />• Organizations that submit a joint application may request a maximum of $300,000 Per <br />Program <br />The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development <br />Block Grant (CDBG) program is a flexible program that provides communities with resources to <br />address a wide range of unique community development needs. The program provides annual <br />grants on a formula basis to entitlement cities and counties to develop viable urban <br />communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment, and by expanding <br />economic opportunities, principally for low- and moderate -income persons. <br />Available Funding and Priorities <br />Funding will be available for 2 years to experienced nonprofit organizations for the provision of <br />public services for the following priorities: <br />1. Crime prevention, intervention, and/or suppression efforts for children, youth and/or <br />families; <br />2. Economic development; <br />3. Tenant services; or <br />4. A Summer Night Lights Program. <br />Programs will be funded from July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2022. <br />Organization Requirement <br />Nonprofit organizations must be in good standing and have no outstanding monitoring findings <br />prior to a 2020-2022 CDBG award. All nonprofit applicants must be able to document 501(c)(3) <br />status.
