Non-profit CDBG Application Process for FY 2020 - 2022 <br />October 15, 2019 <br />Page 3 <br />The review of applications and recommendations for funding will be performed by the three CRHC <br />Ad Hoc Committee members and one staff representative from the Community Development <br />Agency (CDA). The recommendations from the Ad Hoc Committee will first go to the CRHC for <br />review and approval. The CRHC will then recommend the nonprofit funding to City Council for final <br />review and approval. The following is the timeline for this year's nonprofit CDBG application <br />process: <br />Dates <br />Actions <br />November 4, 2019 <br />Applications released to non-profit organizations for FY 2020 - 2022 <br />December 16, 2019 <br />Applications due by 5:00 PM <br />December 16, 2019 <br />through <br />Community Redevelopment & Housing Commission Ad Hoc Committee and <br />January 17, 2020 <br />one CDA staff rep review and score applications <br />January 7, 2020 <br />CRHC Public Hearings to hear presentations from non-profit CDBG applicants <br />and January 9, 2020 <br />held from 3:OOPM - 7:OOPM <br />January 10, 2020 <br />CRHC Ad Hoc Committee meeting to deliberate and finalize scores <br />January 28, 2020 <br />CRHC Meeting: Ad Hoc Committee funding recommendations reviewed and <br />recommended for approval to City Council <br />February 18, 2020 <br />City Council Public Hearing for CDBG Program funding approval <br />Non-profit outreach efforts will include a Nixle press release, a post on the City's Facebook and <br />Instagram pages, a -mails to an internal non-profit e-mail distribution list, an e-mail to non -profits on <br />the City's business license list, and a dedicated CDBG webpage at www.santa-ana.org/cdbq with <br />information on the non-profit CDBG application process. <br />The revised non-profit Community Development Block Grant application and scoring criteria for FY <br />2020 — 2022 is attached to this staff report as Exhibit 1 for review by the Council. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal # 5 Community Health, Livability, <br />Engagement & Sustainability, Objective # 4 (Support neighborhood vitality and livability). <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact associated with this action. <br />Steven A.
