1— SCOPE OF WORK <br />1. PROJECT BACKGROUND <br />The City currently contracts forjanitorial services at various City locations. Services include nightly <br />cleaning of offices, common areas, bathrooms and kitchen and break rooms based on the days and <br />hours of operations identified in Attachment 1-F. Services also include daily porter services at the <br />Santa Ana Regional Transportation Center (SARTC), City Hall/Ross Annex, and Main Library, <br />2. PROJECT OBJECTIVES <br />The City intends to contract with a janitorial service provider offering the best value for the scheduled <br />janitorial services, including, but not limited to, the following: <br />• Evening cleaning services at various City locations; and <br />• Day Porter Services at SARTC, City Hall/Ross Annex, and Main Library. <br />3. hIINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS <br />Offeror roust meet the following minimum qualifications in order to be considered for evaluation: <br />* Five years' experience providing the services specified herein <br />• Registered with the CA DIP. in accordance with the Property Service Workers <br />Protection Act, CA Labor Code 1420-1434 <br />4. CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBLITIES <br />a. General <br />Contractor must furnish the personnel, supplies and equipment necessary to provide services as <br />described herein. Contractor roust be able to communicate by email and phone and be reachable <br />by phone twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week for the purpose of contacting and <br />dispatching service personnel. A response time of two (2) hours is required. The Contractor <br />shall supply the Contract Administrator with name(s) and phone number(s) of responsible <br />person(s) representing the Contractor for 24-hour emergency response. The above -mentioned <br />information shall remain current at all thees. Any changes shall be forwarded to the City in <br />writing by the end of that business day. Failure to maintain current emergency information may <br />result in a $200 penalty for each occurrence. <br />Contractor must comply with all applicable laws including, but not limited to, the Displaced <br />Janitor Opportunity Act, California Labor Code, Section 1060-1065 and the Property Service <br />Workers Protection Act, California Labor Code, Section 1420-1434 <br />Contractor must notify City within one day, via email by Contractor's assigned supervisor, of <br />any abnormal conditions or occurrences, including vandalized, damaged, or inoperable property. <br />Should any City property be damaged or destroyed by the Contractor, the Contractor will bear <br />fill responsibility for repair and/or replacement, as coordinated and approved by the City. <br />Contractor shall bear (till responsibility for theft or loss of keys in their possession and shall pay <br />cost of re -keying all locks operated by these keys.
