*:/:I1-3111ira <br />Existing noise conditions mostly consist of local traffic from Myrtle Street and Raitt Street. The project area <br />falls outside the 65 dBA CNEL contour in the Noise Element, Exhibit 5, Transjiortation Noise Sources. Mechanical ventilation system or other means of natural ventilation shall be <br />provided per Chapter 12, Section 1305 ofthe Uniform Building Code. <br />City of Santa Ana Municipal Code <br />The City applies performance standards to stationary (non-transpoftation) noise sources included in Section <br />18.312 of the Municipal Code (referred to here as the "Noise Ordinance") to ensure that noise generating uses <br />do not adversely affect noise -sensitive land uses. <br />The Noise Ordinance specifies noise level criteria at adjacent properties for a specified time period. For <br />residential uses a noise level cannot exceed: <br />■ 55 dBA for more than 30 minutes in an hour (the Lso level during daytime hours (7:00 AM to 10:00 PM), <br />and cannot exceed <br />■ 50 dBA for more than 30 minutes in an hour (the 1 so level during nighttime hours (10:00 PM to 7:00 ANl. <br />■ These standards plus 5 dBA shall not be exceeded for a cumulative period of more than 15 minutes in any <br />hour (the Les level; or <br />■ The noise standards plus 10 dBA shall not be exceeded for a cumulative period of more than 5 minutes in <br />any hour (the Ls 3 level; of <br />75C-110 <br />
