The work is pursuant to the Residential Street Repair Program and its focus is to repair <br />high priority streets using the City's Pavement Management System. On August 20, 2019, City <br />Council awarded a construction contract to G.J. Gentry General Engineering, Inc., to perform <br />Citywide sewer main improvements that included the replacement of sewer mains on Pomona <br />Street from Main Street to Maple Street (Exhibit 1). Both projects are included in the City's Council - <br />approved Capital Improvement Program (Fiscal Years 2017-18 and 2016-17, respectively) and are <br />currently under construction. <br />The residential street repair project improvements include performing localized concrete pavement <br />reconstruction; replacing damaged concrete curbs, gutters, sidewalks, cross gutters, and curb <br />ramps; and sealing cracks to prevent deterioration from water infiltration.
