Approve an Appropriation Adjustment transferring $951,141 from General Fund Non - <br />Departmental into the appropriate General Fund Accounting Units. <br />2. Authorize the City Manager to execute a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the <br />Full -Time Employees' Unit, Service Employees International Union Local 721 (SEIU) for the <br />period of July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2022, regarding wages and other terms and <br />conditions of employment. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The City and the Full -Time Employees' Unit, Service Employees International Union Local 721 <br />(SEIU) recently completed contract negotiations, resulting in a new Memorandum of <br />Understanding (MOU) (Exhibit 2). The provisions of the agreement include: <br />1. Term: Effective July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2022. <br />2. Salary: The agreement provides a cost of living adjustment effective in each pay period <br />which includes July 1, 2019, July 1, 2020, and July 1, 2021. Classifications covered by this <br />MOU shall receive a base salary increase of seven (7) salary rate ranges (approximately <br />3.5%). <br />The initial salary increase will be provided to those employees currently employed as of the <br />date the MOU is adopted by Council and retroactively paid to the pay period including July <br />1, 2019. <br />
