Fire <br />hydrants are an important part of the water system to assist in providing sufficient fire protection for <br />residences, businesses, and other facilities. Over time, these assets need maintenance, including <br />repainting to protect them from the elements and extend their useful life. <br />On October 7, 2019, a Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on the City's online bid management <br />and publication system. A summary of the Invitation for Bids and bids received is as follows: <br />291 Vendors notified <br />3 Santa Ana vendors notified <br />28 Vendors downloaded the bid packet <br />10 Bids received <br />0 Bids received from Santa Ana vendors <br />Ten Bids were received and opened on October 24, 2019. After evaluation (Exhibit 1), eight of the <br />10 bids received were determined to be responsive. Two bids were deemed nonresponsive due to <br />missing required bid forms. The bid received from Signature Painting, Inc., was lowest, responsive <br />to specifications, and meets the City's requirements. <br />22D-1 <br />
