City of Santa Ana <br />1.1 REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL — INTRODUCTION: <br />The City of Santa Ana (hereinafter referred to as "City") is requesting Proposals from <br />qualified firms and organizations (hereinafter referred to as "Proposer") to provide <br />ambulance & paramedic billing and collection services for Emergency Medical Services <br />(EMS). The awarded Proposer (hereinafter referred to as "Proposer/ Contractor" <br />depending on context) shall provide the requested services in accordance with the <br />Scope of Services (SOS) and Sample Professional Service Agreement (Attachment B). <br />The City desires to enter into an agreement for professional services with a qualified <br />firm who can demonstrate competency and relevant experience in providing ambulance <br />& paramedic billing and collection services. The City seeks an experienced and <br />effective Contractor that minimizes City costs, maximizes the use of available <br />technology, provides excellent client and customer service, and performs thorough and <br />complete paramedic billing and cost recovery. Prior to submitting a proposal, Proposers <br />are advised to carefully read the instructions herein, including the Sample Professional <br />Service Agreement, any solicitation attachments/exhibits, and subsequent addenda (if <br />applicable). The City intends to award an agreement for a term of three (3) years, with <br />a two (2) year extension if both parties agree. <br />1.2 DUE DATE: <br />Parties interested in responding are required to submit a complete proposal <br />electronically to PlanetBids, submit a signed original proposal, plus (5) additional <br />printed copies (all bound), and one electronic copy on a flash drive delivered to the City <br />of Santa Ana, Purchasing Division no later than 3:00 p.m. (PST) on OCTOBER 11, <br />2019. Proposals will not be accepted after this deadline. Faxed or e-mailed Proposals <br />will not be accepted.
