<br />LIGHTING PROJECT, WITH AN ESTIMATED TOTAL PROJECT COST OF <br />$568,409 (PROJECT NOS. 18-7524 & 18-7533) {STRATEGIC PLAN NO. 6, 1B, 1G} – <br />Public Works Agency and Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION: <br /> <br />1. Award a contract to California Professional Engineering, Inc., the lowest <br />responsible bidder, in accordance with the base bid in the amount of $421,043, <br />for construction of the Pacific Electric Bike Trail and Saddleback View Park <br />Security Lighting Project, for the term beginning upon execution of the contract <br />and ending upon project completion, and authorize the City Manager to execute <br />the contract, subject to non-substantive changes approved by the City Manager <br />and the City Attorney. <br /> <br />2. Approve the Project Cost Analysis for a total estimated construction delivery cost <br />of $568,409, which includes $421,043 for the construction contract; $63,157 for <br />contract administration, inspection, and testing; and a $84,209 project <br />contingency (approximately 20% of the construction contract amount) using <br />Community Development Block Grant funds. <br /> <br /> <br />23B. AWARD A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO ALL AMERICAN ASPHALT IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF $540,408, FOR THE BRISTOL STREET REHABILITATION <br />FROM MACARTHUR BOULEVARD TO RAILROAD PROJECT WITH AN <br />ESTIMATED PROJECT COST OF $647,760 (PROJECT NO. 19-6943) {STRATEGIC <br />PLAN NO. 6, 1C; 1G} – Public Works Agency <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION: <br /> <br />1. Award a contract to All American Asphalt, the lowest responsible bidder, in <br />accordance with the base bid in the amount of $540,408, for construction of the <br />Bristol Street Rehabilitation from MacArthur Boulevard to Railroad (North of <br />Alton Avenue) Project, for the term beginning upon execution of the contract <br />and ending upon project completion, and authorize the City Manager to execute <br />the contract subject to non-substantive changes approved by the City Manager <br />and the City Attorney. <br /> <br />2. Approve the Project Cost Analysis for a total estimated construction delivery cost <br />of $647,760, which includes $540,408 for the construction contract; $53,552 for <br />contract administration, inspection, and testing; and a $53,800 project <br />contingency, paid with Highway Users Tax Account-Road Maintenance and <br />Rehabilitation Funds. <br /> <br /> <br />23C. AWARD A CONTRACT TO C.S. LEGACY CONSTRUCTION, INC.
