Pmposel for <br />Understanding of Need continued <br />deliverables. This keeps rework down, reducing cost <br />and saving time. <br />I► First, the QC Manager will conduct a formal <br />review of the deliverable highlighting all reviewed <br />work and redlining the set. <br />I► Once the review is finished and verified that all <br />redlines have been addressed, the Project Manager <br />will review the set to look for constructability and <br />interdisciplinary issues. <br />Assumptions and/or <br />Exclusions <br />• Environmental Documentation <br />and Permits including CEQA and <br />NEPA compliance, if required, <br />are to be provided by others. If <br />environmental documentation is <br />required, additional scope and <br />fee can be provided. <br />• All plan check fees and <br />permitting fees are excluded and <br />will be paid for by the City. <br />• Reprographics is limited to what <br />is described within the proposal. <br />• Right -of -entry permits will not be <br />required as all field work will be <br />performed within the ROW. <br />• Formal traffic control will not <br />be required to perform the <br />topographic survey. <br />• All improvements are within the <br />City's Right -of -Way. <br />• The design or engineering of <br />off -site improvements is not <br />anticipated or included. <br />• Based upon direction provided <br />byt he City, it has been assumed <br />infiltration BMPs will not be <br />installed by the project. BMPs <br />will consist of proprietary <br />biofiltration BMPs such as the <br />Modular Wetlands System by <br />Bio Clean, and the City will <br />approve the use of proprietary <br />biofiltration over infiltration. <br />Infiltration testing for feasibility <br />screening is not included. <br />(► The final phase is a peer review to produce an <br />independent quality check prior to submittal. This <br />process fixes mistakes, verifies compliance with <br />design criteria and codes, and provides feedback to <br />the design team. <br />I► Furthermore, the process is audited to keep the <br />managers accountable for following the quality check <br />process. <br />Pavement sections shall be <br />based upon City of Santa Ana <br />standards or shall match existing <br />pavement sections. This proposal <br />does not include geotechnical <br />testing for pavement section <br />recommendations. If required, <br />testing and recommendations <br />can be provided for an additional <br />scope and fee. <br />• Regularly scheduled construction <br />observations during <br />the construction support phase <br />are specifically excluded from <br />the scope of work. <br />Construction drawings will be <br />prepared in AutoCAD Civil 3D <br />and converted to MicroStation <br />V8i CADD for the final submittal. <br />• Survey and geotechnical <br />construction support services are <br />not included. <br />• The preparation of a Stormwater <br />Pollution Prevention Plan <br />(SWPPP) has not been included <br />within the scope of work. <br />*Work within the medians is ex- <br />cluded from the scope of work. <br />Work within the roadway is to be <br />limited to the travel lane adjacent <br />to the proposed sidewalk widening. <br />• No Street Lighting design and/or <br />coordination is included as part <br />of this scope but can be provided <br />as separate scope item. <br />• It is assumed that traffic <br />signal as-builts for the existing <br />intersections are not available in <br />CAD format. <br />• Video detection and bike <br />detection design is not included <br />as part of this scope. <br />• No CCTV, interconnect and/or <br />fiber optic design is considered <br />part of this scope but can be <br />provided as separate scope item. <br />• No signal timing analysis and/ <br />or signal warrant analysis is <br />included as part of this scope. <br />• No signal programming and/ <br />or controller/infrastructure <br />inspection is anticipated as part <br />of this scope. <br />• No traffic counts/traffic survey <br />and/or traffic study is included as <br />part of this scope. <br />• Traffic modeling is not included <br />as part of this scope. <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA 2 SK127 <br />
