DISCUSS AND CONSIDER DIRECTING CITY MANAGER TO DIRECT STAFF <br />TO PROVIDE AN UPDATE TO COUNCIL ON THE EFFORTS OF THE QUALITY OF <br />LIFE TEAM (QOLT) MAYOR PRO TEM VILLEGAS <br /> <br />Deputy Chief Gominsky provided an update on the efforts of the Quality of Life Team <br />(QOLT). <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Villegas spoke in support of increasing efforts of the Quality of Life <br />Team. <br /> <br />Council Member Penaloza spoke in support of increasing efforts of the Quality of Life <br />Team. <br /> <br />Council Member Solorio spoke in support of increasing efforts of the Quality of Life <br />Team. <br /> <br />Council Member Iglesias requested that Parks and Recreation provide an update on <br />how the parks are being cleaned. <br /> <br />Mayor Pulido requested that the police officers intervene with homelessness. <br /> <br />COMMENTS <br /> <br />Dwayne Kelly, Gracias Music Foundation, spoke regarding the non-profit music <br />foundations and the programs provided; and announced an invitation to the Christmas <br />Cantata event which will be held on September 29, 2019. <br /> <br />Wendy Aragon spoke in support of the Pet Assistance Foundation. <br /> <br />Carol Barnes spoke in support of the Pet Assistance Foundation. <br /> <br />Paul Cook-Giles spoke in support of the City Seal and the inclusive motto "E Pluribus <br />Unum," which is Latin for "one from many". <br /> <br />Judy Bishop spoke in support of the Pet Assistance Foundation. <br /> <br />Dale Helvig spoke regarding the quality of life dictating a healthy city are addressing the <br />homelessness and adding parks. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 16 September 17, 2019 <br /> <br /> <br />
