1. The Contractor shall maintain at least one open traffic lane in each direction at all time <br />on all streets. Flagmen shall be required when directed by the City. <br />2. During non -working hours, all lanes shall be opened to traffic. <br />3. Flashing arrow boards shall be required on arterial streets. Deviation from this <br />requirement will be subject to approval from the Traffic Engine <br />4. Traffic control plans must be submitted and approved before starting work on any <br />public street, except for the following temporary closures: <br />Temporary single lane closure on 4 or 6-lane arterials may be done per WATCH <br />without submitting a traffic control plan. However, this will require approval from <br />the Traffic Engineer. <br />Temporary closure of local streets may be done per WATCH without submitting <br />traffic control plans. However, this will require approval from the Traffic <br />Engineer. <br />Task 4 — Maintenance and Training <br />The Contractor shall include maintenance for the fall protection system annually for 5 years. <br />Maintenance shall include inspection of the fall protection components, repairs for normal wear <br />and tear, documentation of maintenance provided and certifications of systems as required by <br />applicable regulations. The Contractor/Engineer shall catalogue all the installations and provide <br />an electronic means of storing all pertinent maintenance data, including, but not limited to, <br />maintenance intervals, damage records, maintenance checklists, etc. <br />Within 30 business days after the fall protection system is installed, tested and certified, the <br />Contractor shall provide staff training for use of all the systems. The training shall be scheduled <br />and conducted at the City's request and accommodate the water production staff (11 members). <br />The Contractor shall provide documentation for the training sessions and a program description. <br />For fall protection systems that include anchorage designs that require usage to occur under the <br />supervision of a qualified person as required by California safety regulations, provide training to <br />staff as required for them to be qualified to provide supervision as a qualified person, and furnish <br />documentation of the training provided. <br />Task 5 — Value Added Services <br />The Contractor is invited to identify any additional tasks, inspections, or other services that the <br />Contractor feels should be considered as part of this scope of work. If any value added services <br />are identified, the Contractor shall provide a description of the item as well as a cost associated <br />with this item.
