Understanding of Scope of Services
a. Scope of Work
The planned scope of work for this project consists of designing and installing davit fall arrest
systems at 14 locations throughout the City of Santa Ana's Water infrastructure system at
both reservoir and vault facilities. DN Tanks has a firm understanding of the project
requirements and logistics for executing this type of project.
The preferred system to be installed for the City is the DBI-SALA One Piece Adjustable Offset
Davit System, DN Tanks has installed DBI-SALA davit systems dozens of times over the years,
and we install a similar system on many of our new water tank construction projects on the
West Coast for use by our construction crews,
Our pricing Is based on the davit systems being designed and installed in a manner similar to
what Is shown In the preliminary feasibility study, but as part of your selection process or
during design we would offer value engineering options for the City's consideration. If you
would like to discuss these options, we would be happy to review in person with the City.
b, Project Coordination Overview
Below Is an overview of the coordination steps that DN Tanks would perform to ensure a
successful project,
1) Conduct a kick off m@@ting with the City to discuss goals, objectives and critical schedule
milestones for the project,
2) B@vi@w as -built information for each davit site to confirm viability of the d@sign,
g) Conduct site visits for each proposed davit system site to confirm existing conditions,
4) Submit davit §y§tam designs (calculations and details) for review and comment by the
City,
S) Conduct a follow up meeting with the City to review questions, confirm acceptance of the
davit anchor d@§ign§ and confirm Installation §€h@duI@ for the davit anchors,
B) Install davit anchors per th@ proj@€t §€h@duI@,
9) Conduct training for City personnel on using th@ DBI=SALA davit §y§t@m,
@, Tr@fining will b@ €oordinat@d and §@tup by ON Tanks and pr@vid@d by SM, the
§uppii@r of th@ DBI=SALA davit §y§t@m, with support from ON Tanks,
B) Provide annual in§p@€ti@R and maint@nun€@ for normal w@@r and tear for fiv@ (S) y@@r§
including d@€um@ntati@n:
€, Pf@j@€t Sit@ Safety
Th@ d1 priority at ON Tanks i§ to €@mpI@t@ @a€h and @v@ry proj@@t with MRO @€€id@nt§ or
irljufi@§ and pr@vid@ our @mpl@y@@§ a work @RNIr@nm@nt ff@@ from all r@€@gRigalaW haaafd§:
In our @ff@rt to a€hi@v@ a goal of RM a€€id@Rt§ HYfi@§ on @v@ry pf@j@€t, ON T@nk§ @mpI@y@@§
and @ur dub€®Rtra€Leis am f@puif@d to follow a thorough §it@=§p@€ifi€ §af@ty plan thf@ugh@ut
page I of a
M
