D. Training. Contractor shall provide suitable operations, health and safety <br />training on an ongoing basis for all of its drivers and other employees who use or <br />operate equipment or who are otherwise directly involved in Collection or other related <br />operations. <br />E. Unauthorized Material Removal. Contractor shall dismiss or discipline <br />employees who remove documents or any other material from Containers, other than <br />specifically for the purposes of Disposal and Diversion as described in this Agreement. <br />4.7.5.1 Employment of Former Contractor Employees <br />Contractor shall interview all former employees of the previous hauler to be displaced <br />by the transition of Solid Waste Collection under this Agreement. Contractor shall <br />make offers of employment to all such applicants qualified for positions with <br />Contractor. <br />4.7.5.2 Job Fair <br />Contractor shall hold, at a minimum, one job fair in the City prior to the start of services <br />under this Agreement. The purpose of the job fair is to provide City residents with the <br />opportunity to apply for positions with the Contractor. Contractor shall make offers of <br />employment to all such applicants qualified for available positions with Contractor. <br />4.7.5.3 Identification Required <br />Contractor shall provide its employees, companies and Subcontractors with <br />identification for all individuals who may make personal contact with residents or <br />businesses in City. Contractor shall provide a list of current employees, companies, and <br />Subcontractors to City upon request. <br />The City reserves the right to perform a security and identification check through the <br />Orange County Sheriff's Department upon Contractor and all its present and future <br />employees, in accordance with accepted procedures established by the City, or for <br />probable cause. <br />4.7.5.4 Fees and Gratuities <br />Contractor shall not, nor shall it permit any agent, employee, or Subcontractors <br />employed by it, to request, solicit, demand, or accept, either directly or indirectly, any <br />March 9, 2020 72 City of Santa Ana - DRAFT <br />60A-161 <br />
