Already overcrowded and rent -burdened
families will struggle to pay rent this upcoming month, creating devastating ripple affects for much needed food and
medical care during these critical times. It is the responsible thing to do to provide the needed relief to those most
impacted.
The coronavirus has shed light on how interconnected our society is— we are only as strong as our most vulnerable
populations. That is why the Tenant Protection Act will help stabilize Santa Ana residents at a time when our work, our
homes and our health suffer the most.
You have the power to cease rent increases, evictions and foreclosures. Additionally, we urge you to discontinue utility
shut offs and late fees for non payment of bills, parking enforcement and citations, the sweeps on homeless
encampments and the confiscation of the their belongings and debt collection activities.
Sincerely,
Ana Urzua
714-335-1528
