Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA"). <br />Newtonian will conduct routine waste audits, which begin by assessing how waste is being <br />generated at the location: <br />what activities or practices produce the most waste; <br />which areas tend to produce the most waste (copy rooms, conference rooms, <br />warehouses, etc.); and <br />what is the nature of the waste. <br />Newtonian will then implement a waste collection strategy, including a method of waste <br />collection (trash cans, recycling bins, etc.) and disposal. <br />Ill. Sourcing Eco-Friendly Materials <br />Newtonian will make efforts to source eco-friendly materials with every opportunity <br />available, including the planned buildout of the dispensary. <br />iv. Beautification Projects <br />Outdoor landscape trellis color -walls were added to the location for beautification. <br />v. Recycling Programs <br />Construction materials and waste is recycled at recycling bins onsite and Newtonian will work <br />with an outside vendor daily to recycle cardboard, <br />vi. Public Transportation <br />Eastbound and westbound bus stops are conveniently located immediately in front of the <br />Premises, which allows for better accessibility for customers, employees and tenants. Several <br />bike racks were also installed to promote low -carbon footprint commuting. Newtonian will <br />encourage employees to use public transportation by reimbursing employees if they use public <br />transportation, <br />C. Community Benefit And I Or Youth Programs in Santa Ana <br />i. Commitment to Community Benefit ;efforts <br />The self -storage facility onsite, South Coast Self -Storage, has a charity storage unit where <br />donated items are stored, and auctions are held several times a year; all proceeds are donated to <br />[lure It Cancer Research, SSA Foundation Scholarship Fund, and other charity organizations. <br />South Coast Self -Storage also has a clothing and items donation box onsite for USAgain. <br />Newtonian is committed to participating in those charity programs. <br />Newtonian will be a member of the Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce.
