Chamber, Newtonian will be informed of ever -changing issues and trends within the <br />community and local marketplace. <br />ii. Commitment to Safety and Security <br />Maintaining safety and security is Newtonian's #1 priority. <br />Currently, the property has a security patrolling service every night of the week, 36 new closed- <br />circuit cameras to monitor all exterior areas the property, and new wrought -iron gates between <br />the buildings along the front of the property on W. Warner Ave., which enclose the property <br />on all sides with fencing -providing additional security and safety. New ADA ramps were also <br />installed to provide better accessibility for disabled persons. <br />Newtonian will retain the services of experts to assist Newtonian with local and state security <br />compliance, including throughout construction of the dispensary. Newtonian will work with the <br />experts to develop, implement and oversee safety and security training programs, provide crisis <br />management support, and continually update and disseminate safety and security best practices. <br />The experts will assist Newtonian with instituting proper protocols and procedures to minimize <br />the physical and non-physical risks associated with operation of a cannabis business. Such <br />protocols and procedures will include extensive periodic trairvng, and regular detailed <br />assessments of hazards, vulnerabilities, and potential impacts on employees and customers' <br />safety, security, well-being and operational continuity. These assessments may result in <br />adjustments to placement decisions, policies, training, and emergency plans. <br />iii. Commitment to Research and Development and Education <br />Newtonian is an advocate of the research and development of cannabis and its effects on health. <br />Newtonian has donated to Americans for Safe Access ("ASA"), an organization that ensures <br />safe and legal access to cannabis for therapeutic uses and research. <br />Newtonian will provide educational programs to consumers on the effects of cannabis on <br />certain illnesses, symptoms and ailments and how to properly consume and dose <br />'fetrahydrocannabinol ("TI'IC") and Carmabidiol ("CBD") products. Through these programs, <br />consumers are encouraged to make informed decisions about safe cannabis use. <br />Newtonian will create and continue commnunity education programs and offer lower prices and <br />special promotions to the ill and military veterans. Newtonian will also host pain education <br />and cannabis support meetings. <br />iv. Commitment to Supporting Youth Programs in Santa Ana and <br />the Greater Orange County Area <br />Newtonian has donated to the Santa Ana Family YMCA, which serves the residents of Orange <br />County with programs for youth, adults, and families including: swim, arena soccer, camps, <br />after school care, and community service programs. Newtonian has also donated to the <br />Orangewood Foundation, one of the leading providers of services to current and former foster <br />youth in Orange County.
