Access to Meetings and Hearings <br />Meetings for items that require Community Redevelopment and Housing Commission <br />action shall be conducted in front of the Commission at 4:30 P.M. at the Santa Ana <br />City Hall Council Chambers (22 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, California, 92701). <br />Meetings for items that require City Council action shall be conducted in front of the <br />Santa Ana City Council at 4:30 P.M. at the Santa Ana City Hall Council Chambers (22 <br />Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, California, 92701). For public meetings or hearings not <br />requiring action by the Community Redevelopment and Housing Commission or City <br />Council, the City shall make every effort to conduct such meetings in the low- and <br />moderate -income target areas and at times accessible and convenient to potential <br />and actual beneficiaries. <br />It is the objective of the City to comply with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of <br />1973, as amended, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 and the ADA <br />Amendment Act of 2008, the Fair Housing Act, the Architectural Barriers Act, The LEP <br />Plan, and the City's adopted Title VI Plan in all respects. <br />Individuals with disabilities who need special assistance to participate in City Council <br />meetings can contact Office of the City Clerk's Department, 20 Civic Center Plaza, <br />Room 809, Monday through Thursday and alternate Fridays, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., at <br />(714) 647-6520. Requests shall be made at least 48 hours prior to the meeting to <br />enable the City to make arrangements to assure accessibility. <br />The City of Santa Ana will provide appropriate auxiliary aids and services whenever <br />necessary for those individuals who have hearing, sight or speech impairments, unless <br />to do so would result in a fundamental alteration of its programs or an undue <br />administrative or financial burden. No surcharge will be placed on a particular <br />individual with a disability or any group of individuals with disabilities to cover the cost <br />of providing these auxiliary aids/services or reasonable accommodations.
