9.2 <br />• A biological, adoptive, or foster parent, stepparent, or legal guardian of <br />an employee or the employee's spouse or registered domestic partner, <br />or a person who stood in loco parentis when the employee was a minor <br />child. <br />• A spouse <br />• A registered domestic partner <br />• A grandparent <br />• A grandchild <br />• A sibling <br />c. A "household member" means": <br />Any member of the employee's household related by blood or marriage; <br />any other relative of the employee by blood or marriage, where it can be <br />established by the employee that the employee's presence is required to <br />handle emergency arrangements and/or other matters. <br />2. Personal necessity leave may also be used, as follows: <br />• To attend to a serious accident to members of the employee's immediate <br />family <br />• Childbirth <br />• To cope with imminent danger to the employee's family, home, or other <br />valuable property <br />• When the existence of external circumstances beyond the employee's <br />control make it impossible for him/her to report for duty <br />• Attend to medical or dental appointments for members of the employee's <br />household or family member as defined above. <br />Bereavement Leave <br />A.
