Award Contract to Vido Samarzich, Inc. for Local Street Curb Ramp Improvements Phase II <br />May 5, 2020 <br />Page 3 <br />and quality; and material testing. As indicated in the Cost Analysis (Exhibit 5) and as summarized <br />in the table below, the estimated total construction delivery cost of the project is $405,490. <br />Construction Contract <br />1 $398,700 <br />Construction Administration, Inspection, and Testing <br />$6,790 <br />Contingencies <br />$0 <br />ESTIMATED CONSTRUCTION DELIVERY COST <br />$405,490 <br />Project funds will cover all staffing costs for delivery of this capital project. No additional or separate <br />funding will be used. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal #6 - Community Facilities & <br />Infrastructure, Objective #1 (establish and maintain a Community Investment Plan for all City <br />assets), Strategy B (equitably maintain existing streets and associated assets in a state of good <br />repair so they are clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing for all users).; and Strategy G (develop <br />and implement the City's Capital Improvement Program in coordination with the Community <br />Investment (e.g., neighborhood streets, traffic improvements, etc.). <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the recommended actions are <br />exempt from further review. Categorical Exemption Environmental Review No. ER-2019-57 was <br />filed for the project. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />As indicated in the Cost Analysis, the estimated total construction delivery cost of the project is <br />$405,490, which includes construction contract, contract administration, inspection and testing. <br />The funds necessary for the additional ADA curb ramps were originally appropriated by City <br />Council as part of the FY 19/20 budget adoption of the CDBG capital improvement projects and <br />the funds are currently available. With the approval of the amendment to the FY 2019-20 CIP, the <br />$405,490 of reprogrammed CDBG funds will be available in the new capital project, Local Street <br />Curb Ramp Improvements Phase II Project (No. 20-7548).
