Stop the density in Santa Ana without parking all over the city. <br />70. Smart land development used. Parking. Density. <br />71. Deal with the homelessness. Get people clean. Affordable apartments and homeless shelters. <br />78. 1 don't go into "Santa Ana" for fear of crime and the homeless, I live on the <br />Tustin, Santa Ana border. I do all my shopping, recreational spending, <br />and general living in Tustin. Santa Ana needs to make me feel safe, and <br />wanted within its borders. <br />79. Homeless folks are a problem. There should be more shelters with maybe <br />some kind of bus service, dropping them off in the night, so they feel like <br />they are "going home" after a day of hanging out in public areas. <br />80. Yes, affordable housing. <br />81. Instead of trying to control rent and home prices, create <br />training/vocational programs that can help people get higher paying <br />jobs. <br />82. We need to bring these apartments that are old and overcrowded down <br />to the ground where the gangs form or gather. Generate new apartments <br />or new homes and begin to push gangs out. Assure that apartments are <br />not overcrowded and that will reduce congestion on the streets. It needs <br />to be done. <br />83. "Housing - establish strict rules for landlords regarding licensing units, <br />minimum standards of upkeep. Require community approval (close <br />neighbors) for any new housing or commercial development. Finally, <br />please kill the once and never future 42 story tower that has been "In the <br />works" on Broadway for the last 20 years - the residents don't want it. <br />84. Fix the aging infrastructure - streets, sidewalks, parks, water and sewers. <br />Add more traffic deterrents that help decrease the use of our streets as <br />thoroughfares from one city to the next. One-way streets, no entry access <br />at intersections, etc." <br />85. 1 don't believe there will ever be such thing as rent control, but something <br />has to happen in order to help families stay off the streets.
