City of St. Helena. Project <br />Manager. Serving as Project Manager for large-scale project that includes the removal of the historic Upper <br />York Creek Dam and the restoration of the creek habitat downstream to the Napa River. Michael Baker <br />provided value engineering analysis, design, and construction -phase services to restore the ecosystem of <br />the Upper York Creek. Michael Baker's solution will reduce the potential for downstream habitat <br />degradation caused by large sediment releases, which have historically caused the mortality of fish and <br />other aquatic organisms below the dam. The project scope includes removal of the 50-foot-by-140-foot <br />earthen dam, re-establishment of a natural fish passage channel, removal of invasive plants, and <br />revegetation as riparian forest. <br />Long Term Facilities Plan Programmatic EIR, Orange County, California.* Orange County Water <br />District.
