<br />Dana Hutchins has over 40 years of experience in construction
<br />management, inspection services and mechanical engineering. His
<br />background includes managing the construction of numerous large-
<br />scale water and wastewater treatment facilities, including pump stations,
<br />water and sewer lines, as well as bridges, buildings, major roadways and
<br />recreation facilities. His construction inspection experience includes field
<br />and managerial positions. He has reviewed and prepared change orders,
<br />responded to requests for information, reviewed submittals and prepared
<br />progress payments.
<br />Experience
<br />On -Call Construction Management, Engineering Support, Testing
<br />and Inspection, City of Cypress, CA: Inspector for a three-year
<br />contract supporting delivery of capital improvement projects. As assigned,
<br />inspections address project needs including traffic control, construction
<br />monitoring, utility coordination and public complaint resolution.
<br />Antonio Parkway Pavement Rehabilitation and Santa Margarita
<br />Parkway Rehabilitation, City of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA: Inspector
<br />for 45-day, federally funded road improvement task order issued under
<br />this multi -year on -call construction management and inspection contract.
<br />Inspections addressed issues including compliance with plans and
<br />specifications, required traffic controls, storm water measures (catch basins
<br />being covered) and federal mandates. Monitored and documented crack -
<br />sealed, paving, installation of traffic loops, striping, manhole construction,
<br />utility adjustments and worksite cleanup.
<br />Underground Utility Assessment District 09-1 (Coast Royal), City
<br />of Laguna Beach, CA: Inspector for complex $2.4 million utilities
<br />undergrounding project in upscale residential area. Performed multi -
<br />jurisdictional coordination, traffic control monitoring and public relations
<br />factors critical to the project's success. Served as project liaison to
<br />residents in the Coast Royal neighborhood, in the project area. The project
<br />converted overhead utilities underground, as directed by San Diego Gas &
<br />Electric (SDG&E), Frontier and Cox. The work involved seven residential
<br />streets providing access to more than 200 residential properties. Activities
<br />included 13,000 LF of utility trenching, the installation of conduits and
<br />transformer pads, and the construction of multiple retaining walls.
<br />Imperial Avenue/La Palma Avenue Intersection Improvements, City
<br />of Anaheim, CA: Resident Engineer for this $5 million road widening and
<br />high -voltage undergrounding project at Imperial Avenue and La Palma
<br />Avenue. The projects have encompassed roadway, storm drain, parking
<br />lot, traffic, lighting, utility, structural and streetscape improvements. This
<br />project also involved the preliminary and final design of significant corridor
<br />improvements and key intersections, including the development of most
<br />of the streetscape elements for the project which included bus shelters,
<br />street lights, utility covers, pavement scoring details and changeable
<br />message signs.
