<br />Chris McNary has been responsible for project management for capital
<br />improvement projects. In this capacity, Chris maintained databases for
<br />all construction logs, provided construction inspection and observation,
<br />coordinated with client representatives, and conducted and documented
<br />construction meetings with the contractors.
<br />He has served as both Assistant Project Manager and Inspector. In his
<br />role as Assistant Project Manager, he was responsible for supporting the
<br />Project Manager with project documentation, tracking, and documentation
<br />of submittals, RFIs, change order management, claims management,
<br />schedule and CPM analysis, labor compliance, correspondence, progress
<br />pay estimates, material sampling/testing coordination, utility coordination,
<br />and as -built documentation coordination. As an Inspector, Chris was
<br />responsible for field inspections and documentation, continual review of
<br />plans and specifications, coordination with contractor schedules for testing,
<br />site labor compliance, attending weekly progress meetings, regulatory
<br />agency permit mitigation monitoring, documentation of contract item
<br />quantities, documentation of extra work and claim situations, as-builts
<br />records, provision of pictorial and/or video logbook of construction activities,
<br />maintenance of as -built drawings, and development of punch list items with
<br />follow-up corrective measures to close out the construction activities.
<br />Experience
<br />On -Call Project and Construction Management Services, City of
<br />Hermosa Beach, CA: Construction Inspector for various state and
<br />federally funded capital improvement projects for the City of Hermosa
<br />Beach. Services included consultant selection and management,
<br />complete project management from planning through construction
<br />phase services, bond and grant management, bid and award services,
<br />construction management and inspection, and project close-out. Capital
<br />improvement projects included Pier Renovation Phase III, Aviation
<br />Street Tree Project, Pier Clock Barrier, Pier Concrete Deck Treatment,
<br />Manhattan Avenue Street Improvements, Pier Avenue and North Parking
<br />Structure Restriping, Beach Restroom Rehabilitation, Community Center,
<br />Various Street Improvements, and Police Department HVAC Upgrades.
<br />Long Beach Transit Mall Improvements, Long Beach, CA: Construction
<br />Manager for the Long Beach Transit Mall Improvements Design -Build
<br />project. The improvements to the Long Beach Transit Mall were on
<br />First Street between Long Beach Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard.
<br />The construction involved replacement of eight bus shelters and kiosks;
<br />creation and enhancement of safe waiting areas; improving transit
<br />information displays; removing and replacing public sidewalks to meet ADA
<br />standards; and adding landscaping and public art to visually promote public
<br />transportation, including its connections with regional bus and light rail
<br />service. The project required close coordination with local businesses and
<br />residents so that they were aware of the construction activities on a daily
<br />basis and the traffic control plans were implemented. The corridor remained
<br />open for light rail service during the entire construction period.
