<br />Hernan Montoya has over 40 years of experience as a structural
<br />engineer designing a wide variety of structural projects. He has been
<br />in charge of engineering providing quality assurance, coordination
<br />with clients, other consultants and building officials, and field support
<br />for various commercial, residential, industrial, civil and public works
<br />projects. Private sector experience includes structural design of hotels,
<br />restaurants, apartment complexes, senior housing, warehouses, office
<br />complexes, schools, mining plant equipment supports and structures.
<br />Municipal, local agency, and public sector experience includes the
<br />design of bridges, sewage lift and water pump stations, earth retaining
<br />structures, channels, culverts, towers for wireless communications,
<br />refuse transfer stations and landfill gas to energy project structures.
<br />Professional experience also includes repair and retrofitting of existing
<br />building and bridge structures.
<br />Project Experience
<br />Well No. 29 Rehabilitation, City of Santa Ana, CA: As a subconsultant
<br />to Psomas, provided structural and architectural design of a concrete block
<br />wall and steel framed roof building housing the pump room, electrical
<br />room, and SCE room. The scope of work included preparation of 3-D
<br />architectural renderings and modifications to existing tennis court fencing.
<br />Well No. 59 Building Facilities, City of Anaheim, CA: As a
<br />subconsultant to Psomas, provided structural design of a concrete block
<br />wall and steel framed roof building housing the storage room, chemical
<br />room, and electrical room, as well as a roll -away pump room.
<br />Rosecrans Booster Pump Station, City of Buena Park, CA: As a
<br />subconsultant to Psomas, providing structural design of a 86'x22'.8"
<br />concrete block wall and steel framed roof housing a five -pump room,
<br />electrical room, disinfection room, and generator room. The project
<br />also included structural design of a 24-foot-deep interior valve trench,
<br />perimeter retaining and fence walls, and fuel and surge tank foundations.
<br />Bankfield Sewage Pump Station, City of Culver City, CA: As a
<br />subconsultant to Psomas, provided structural design of a 24'xl4'x30'
<br />deep single cell concrete vault with limited space for shoring and high
<br />water table, and adjacent electrical building.
<br />SC-6 Flow Control Facility and PA-2 Lift Station and SC-6 Turnout/
<br />FCF, Rancho Mission Viejo, CA: As a subconsultant to Psomas,
<br />provided structural design of Phases I & II building facility and
<br />cast -in -place underground vaults.
<br />Ortega Lift Station, San Juan Capistrano, CA: Structural design of a
<br />27'x42'xl3' deep triple -cell concrete vault.
<br />Braddock Sewer Pump Station Upgrades, City of Culver City, CA:
<br />Structural design of a 20'xl 3'x28'deep single -cell concrete vault with
<br />limited space for shoring and high water table.
