Lin International <br />karen.cormier@tylin.com <br />415.613.0860 <br />City Hall Steel Columns <br />Mr. Joe Susca Ann Harrer <br />City of Culver City <br />Public Works Department <br />Culver City, California <br />City of Culver City <br />Steel column distress assessment <br />joe.susca@culvercity.org <br />310.253.5636 <br />SECTION 2: SCOPE OF SERVICES AND SCHEDULE <br />Scope of Services <br />Task 1: Assessment of Existing Condition <br />Review existing as-builts and compare with current - WJE will review available documents <br />related to the garages and plazas provided by the City, including original construction drawings, <br />any repair drawings and specifications, maintenance logs or reports, inspection or testing <br />reports, hazardous material reports, and any other pertinent information provided by the City. <br />Conduct field inspection of the structures including, but not limited to: <br />• Parking garages <br />• Structure deck slab layers, beams, joists, drainage, rebars, cracks, etc. <br />• Drainage <br />• Pedestrian bridge <br />• Water fountains and planters <br />• Miscellaneous features on the plaza decks <br />WJE will conduct a visual survey of all exposed elements, both structural and nonstructural, of <br />the parking garages and plazas. Elements that will be inspected include but are not limited to: <br />structure deck slab layers, beams, joists, drainage, rebar, cracks, pedestrian bridge, water <br />fountains, planters, and miscellaneous features on the plaza decks. The location, extent, and <br />nature of observable deterioration will be noted on field sheets developed using drawings <br />provided by the City. Existing conditions will also be documented photographically. <br />■ Provide evaluation of potential project constraints and solutions - Based on an initial walkthrough <br />of the structure with representatives from the City, WJE will provide an overview of existing <br />conditions that may be potential project constraints and may require additional access and/or <br />coordination for completion of our visual survey.
