APPROVE APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENT AND AGREEMENT ACCEPTING <br />BUREAU OF RECLAMATION WATERSMART GRANT FUNDS FOR THE <br />ADVANCED METER INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$300,000 (PROJECT NO. 16-6460) (NON -GENERAL FUND) - Public Works <br />Agency <br />Approve an appropriation adjustment. (Requires five affirmative votes). <br />APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENT NO. 2020-177 - Recognizing Bureau of <br />Reclamation WaterSMART grant funds in the amount of $300,000 into the <br />Public Works Water Quality & Control Fund, Federal Grant -Direct revenue <br />account and appropriating $275,000 into the Public Works Water Quality & <br />Control, WaterSMART-Watershed Management Program, Improvements <br />Other Than Building expenditure account with the remaining $25,000 <br />recognized in Reserve Appropriation expenditure accounts for future year <br />expenditures. <br />2. Authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement with the United States <br />Department of the Interior Bureau of Reclamation (R19AP00131) for the <br />period of May 19, 2020 to June 30, 2021, accepting WaterSMART grant <br />funding in the amount of $300,000, subject to non -substantive changes <br />approved by the City Manager and City Attorney (Agreement No. A-2020- <br />XXX). '% <br />Council discussion ensued. <br />Executive Director of Public Works Agency Nabil Saba provided a project update, <br />timeline and shared that rate increase will be used towards project. <br />Motion to Approve 1.
