For too many years our city has valued policing our youth over investing in their <br />futures, and that ends now. SAPD is rated as the 8th most violent police department and has a history of <br />mistrust amongst Santana citizens. We need to invest in preventive programs and provide assistance to those <br />who are victims of the system rather penalizing them over and over again. <br /> <br />I strongly oppose agenda item 75A and request a revised budget where funds are redirected to supporting our <br />youth. <br /> <br />Erica Gonzalez <br />Ward 1 <br />1 <br />
