Authorize a one-time purchase and payment of purchase order to National Auto Fleet Group <br />for five Chevrolet Tahoe police vehicles for the Santa Ana Police Department for a total amount <br />not to exceed $236,215, subject to non -substantive changes approved by the City Manager <br />and City Attorney. <br />2. Amend the contract with Stommel Inc. dba Lehr Auto Electric to increase the contract amount <br />by $75,000, for police vehicle conversion equipment and installation services, for a new not to <br />exceed amount of $1,075,000, subject to non-susbtantive changes approved by the City <br />Manager and City Attorney. <br />3. Approve an appropriation adjustment recognizing $202,647 in Equitable Sharing — Treasury <br />revenue account (No. 16714002-various) and appropriate same to Equitable Sharing <br />expenditure account (No. 16714455-various). <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Santa Ana Police Department anticipates 39 police officers will complete the field training <br />program by June 30, 2021. To accommodate these new patrol officers, the Police Department will <br />need to increase the size of the Assigned Vehicle Program from 53 vehicles to 64. The Police <br />Department uses Ford Police Interceptor vehicles, similar to Explorers, as the standard vehicle in <br />20C-1 <br />
