Calls <br />and meetings have been arranged with the National <br />Park Service and a letter of support from the <br />California congressional delegation has been <br />secured. <br />February 4, 2019, the City of Santa Ana submitted a <br />grant application to the National Fitness Campaign, <br />LLC (NFC) to build five fitness courts. <br />March 15, 2019, the City of Santa Ana received five <br />$30,000 grants from NFC to participate as a Model <br />City in the 2019 National Fitness Campaign. <br />On June 4, 2019, the City Council adopted a <br />resolution accepting the 2019 NFC grant of $30,000 <br />per site and agreed to provide and additional <br />$90,000 per site to fund the remaining purchase <br />price of equipment and installation at five City sites <br />(Jerome Park, Delhi Park, El Salvador Park, <br />Memorial Park, and Rosita Park). <br />Fitness court installations include Jerome Park, <br />Delhi Park, and Rosita Park. <br />Library Development Explore grants and other funding I (HK) HK has apprised the City of potential funding <br />sources to enhance current opportunities as they have been released.
