Federal, State, and Local Policies and Procedures <br />This requirement does not replace the "approach or exceed" NAC criterion for <br />FHWA Activity Category D for classroom interiors, but it is a requirement that must <br />be addressed in addition to the requirements of 23 CFR 772. <br />If a project results in a noise impact under this code, noise abatement must be <br />provided to reduce classroom noise to a level that is at or below 52 dBA Leq(h). If the <br />noise levels generated from freeway and nonfreeway sources exceed 52 dBA Leq(h) <br />prior to construction of the proposed freeway project, noise abatement must be <br />provided to reduce noise to the level that existed prior to project construction. <br />4.3. Local Regulations and Policies <br />4.3.1. City of Santa Ana <br />Section 18-314 of the City's Municipal Code prohibits the construction, repair, <br />remodeling, or grading of any real property except between the hours of 7:00 a.m. <br />and 8:00 p.m. on weekdays and Saturdays.
