TASK 7: COVID-19 RELATED PREPAREDNESS MESSAGING AND DELIVERY Objective: The worldwide Covid-19 pandemic significantly impacts the ways and manners in which our residents in Orange County need to be prepared. As a base level, the need for stocking supplies to allow residents to shelter -in -place will change from the current three days to more than two weeks. Clear communication in coordination with national Ready.gov/FEMA guidelines is needed. New guidelines and other changes as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic will need to be communicated to officials in OC's 34 cities and more than 110 public jurisdictions. Meanwhile, materials need to be created and shared with influencers at places of worship, major nonprofit organizations who serve community segments, and ultimately with our 3.2 million residents. Completion Criteria: This task is considered complete when all budgeted sub -tasks have been completed in their respective entirety. TASK 7-A: COVID-19 MESSAGING AND MATERIALS (JULY— DEC 2020) Objective: Working in concert with Ready.gov, changes in preparedness guidelines will be written as a primer specifically for Orange County. These new guidelines need to be shared with influencers at public and private organizations. All materials relating to preparedness guidelines — including new collateral materials on pandemics — also need to be created and/or updated and shared with residents across OC and in multiple languages. Task Description: Create new pandemic materials and update existing preparedness materials as impacted by Covid-19 pandemic. Activities include: a. Messaging Primer — work with FEMA to create new messages and guidelines for preparedness as altered by the Covid-19 pandemic (this is likely to be fluid so updates during this contract year will likely be necessary) b. Create new pandemic collateral piece specific to OC c. Conduct review of all ReadyOC collateral pieces and suggest updates as needed due to Covid-19 pandemic d. Develop new graphics and written copy on pandemics for ReadyOC.org e. Responsibilities: WBC shall: a.
