TASK 5-C: MEDIA RELATIONS OUTREACH (JAN — MAR 2021) <br />Objective: <br />Apply the "Three Cs" of media relations — 1) Communicate news about the S4 campaign and <br />safety/anti-terrorism efforts, 2) Capitalize on news of the day pertaining to readiness, and 3) <br />Create news about the S4 campaign and safety/anti-terrorism efforts throughout Orange <br />County. <br />Task Description: <br />Implement a monthly effort to identify, craft, coordinate and deliver stories about safety/anti- <br />terrorism efforts in Orange County in ways that help secure editorial coverage by print, <br />digital/online, radio and television news outlets. Efforts will also be made to offer county <br />experts to reporters and producers when news attention is trained on safety/anti-terrorism and <br />threats. At least one story relating to S4 and/or safety/anti-terrorism will be crafted per sub - <br />task. Story pitches will reflect seasonal occurrences, including spring break travel safety. <br />Responsibilities: <br />WBC shall: <br />c. Develop the initiative and seek plan (and creative, if needed) approval from the Santa <br />Ana Project Manager <br />Santa Ana shall: <br />c. Approve plan and activities <br />Completion Criteria: <br />This task is considered complete upon the completion of the support period and when the <br />Santa Ana Project Manager signs the task completion letter.
