In order to comply with regulations from the <br />State of California Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Occupational Safety and Health <br />(Cal -OSHA), regular preventative maintenance and periodic testing is required. Cal -OSHA <br />inspects all elevators and escalators at least once per year. Upon successful inspection, a <br />Conveyance Permit for each piece of equipment is issued. Elevators may only be serviced by <br />certified operation technicians. <br />On April 30, 2020, the Public Works Agency issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) to qualified <br />firms for elevator maintenance and repair services. The RFP was advertised on the City's online <br />bid management and publication system, with the bids due on May 21, 2020. Twelve vendors <br />downloaded the project documents. Two proposals were received and evaluated by a selection <br />committee based on criteria as outlined in the RFP. Based on the evaluation criteria. AMTECH <br />25C-1 <br />
