BUILDING '.;NETWORKS Bid Support Services Provide the following: • Attendance at one (1) contractor bid walk. o Support by providing in -person presentation of the scope of work to the bidding contractor. As allowed by the City of Santa Ana procurement, answer any immediate questions to avoid excessive administration of questions via PlanetBids. • Bid Leveling o Review all submitted bids. o Provide bid leveling of all qualified bids. The leveling will provide a side by side comparison of all qualified bids. o Where proposals do not explicitly outline required scope of work, coordinate with PlanetBids administratorto solicit contractor clarifications on submitted bids as required. o Provide recommendation of award. Construction Administration (Alternate Line Item) Provide the following: • Review submittals and shop drawings and provide comments to verify consistency with the scoping narrative. • Respond to contractor requests for information for clarification required during construction. Assumptions General 1. Work of specialty consultants (security, audio/visual, telecom, acoustical, etc.) are not included. 2. Costs for additional insurance above and beyond standard coverage limits carried by Building Networks Group will be invoiced above and beyond all fee and reimbursable estimates provided in this Proposal. 3. Payment of invoices, partial or in full, constitutes full acceptance of the terms and conditions of this Proposal. 4. This Proposal is valid for thirty (30) days from the date of this document. 5. All work is assumed to be performed in AutoCAD. No Revit or BIM services are included in the base fee. 6. Additional work resulting from changes ordered by Building Officials, Fire Inspectors, or other authorities having jurisdiction in the field subsequent to receipt of an approved permit are subject to additional services. 7. Work shall be performed with reasonable care and competence, applying technical knowledge and skill which is ordinarily applied by an Engineer of good standing with the State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. 8. Up-to-date as -built documentation in CAD are available and will be provided to engineer prior to start of work. Additional services will apply if not available.
