EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />ATTACHMENT A <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />Santa Ana CARES Small Business Grant <br />AUGUST 1, 2020 - OCTOBER 31, 2020 <br />The Santa Ana CARES Small Business Grant is aimed at assisting businesses and non -profits <br />within the City of Santa Ana that have been affected by COVID-19. The funding, which is part <br />of the CARES Act Coronavirus Relief Funds bill, will aid those businesses and non -profits that <br />need assistance in surviving and recovering through this pandemic. Funding will be allocated in <br />the form of grants, on a first come first serve basis. <br />CONTRACTOR shall develop, implement and administer the Santa Ana CARES Small Business <br />Grant pursuant to this scope of work and the terms of this agreement. <br />I. Size of the grant: <br />The Santa Ana CARES Small Business Grants will provide up to $10,000 for Santa Ana <br />Businesses and non -profits with 25 or less full time equivalent (FTE) employees. <br />Businesses that receive any previous small business CITY grants are limited to a <br />cumulative total amount of $10,000 in grants. Businesses must be able to provide proof <br />(receipts) that funds received were spent in accordance with Program requirements directly <br />to the CITY through a CITY portal. <br />II. Business must have been affected by COVID-19: <br />The business or non-profit must submit an attestation stating that it is impacted by COVID- <br />19 <br />in one of the following ways: <br />• Sales/revenue from the business are down more than 25% as a result of COVID-19 <br />(from the time period of March 1, 2020 through present) <br />• The business has had to lay off at least one of its employees (full or part time) <br />• The business was forced to shut down by the state or local government <br />III. Eligibility Requirements: <br />Businesses and non -profits must meet the following eligibility requirements: <br />• For -profit independently operated or non-profit business located in Santa Ana <br />• Maximum of twenty-five (25) full time equivalent (FTE) employees or less (including <br />the owner) <br />• Must have been in operation as of March 1, 2020 <br />18 <br />
