• Valid City Business License <br />• Valid Certificate of Occupancy <br />• No active code violations <br />• Valid identification <br />• Individuals that own or have interest in more than one business will be limited to one <br />grant <br />• Businesses that have previously received City of Santa Ana Small Business Incentive <br />Grants are eligible for up to $5,000 under this grant funding stream <br />Ineligible: <br />• Businesses that have received or will receive the County of Orange District 1 Grant <br />Program <br />• Businesses that have received City of Santa Ana grants cumulative to $10,000 <br />• Businesses with active code violations <br />• Home based businesses and independent contractors <br />• Cannabis -related businesses <br />• Gambling facilities <br />• Adult entertainment businesses <br />IV. Eligible Expenses of CARES Act Grant: <br />Businesses and non -profits can use the funding on the following eligible expenses: <br />• Rent <br />• Utilities <br />• Payroll <br />• Marketing <br />• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)/cleaning and disinfecting <br />supplies/inventory/services <br />• Technology (software/licensing/equipment) to automate systems or to allow for <br />telecommute activities of employees <br />• Furniture, equipment, and supplies for expanded outdoor activities (dining/retail) <br />Ineligible Expenses of CARES Act Grant: <br />• Expenses that will be reimbursed by forgivable loans or grants such as the Small <br />Business Administration Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), or other sources are not <br />eligible <br />V. Disbursement of Funds: <br />Small business and non-profit awardees will receive the approved funding in one <br />disbursement via an Electronic Funds Transfer or Automated Clearing House (EFT or <br />ACH). <br />19 <br />
