• Experienced a loss of income due to COVID-19 because of: cancelled or terminated <br />performances, exhibitions, program, classes, events, residencies, and/or contracts; <br />organizational closures; or loss of non -arts supplemental income or job <br />III. Eligibility Requirements: <br />Businesses and non -profits must meet the following eligibility requirements: <br />• Must be a arts -related non-profit organization* or arts -related micro -business (5 <br />employees or fewer)* <br />• Business or non-profit must be an arts & culture organization whose primary mission <br />is artistic in nature. Such organizations include but are not limited to museums, <br />performing arts centers or presenters, orchestras, choral organizations, theatres, dance <br />companies, literary arts centers, heritage sites, cinema & media arts organizations, <br />arts education organizations, arts therapy organizations, and art festivals <br />• Business and non-profit must meet the United States Small Business Administration <br />definition of a small business concern, along with the size standards for a micro - <br />business <br />• Main place of business or non-profit must be within the City of Santa Ana <br />• Home -based micro -businesses or non -profits are eligible for grant funding and must <br />have a current Santa Ana business license <br />• Business or non-profit must provide proof of operations for the past 12 months in the <br />City of Santa Ana. Micro -businesses must provide a current business license from the <br />city <br />• Businesses and non -profits who received prior Federal and state disaster funding are <br />eligible; however, funding must be used on alternative eligible expenses <br />Individual artists must meet the following eligibility requirements: <br />• Must work professionally or vocationally in the arts. Artists will have been an active <br />participant in the arts community (those whose life's work is the arts, regardless of <br />the income derived from work in the arts) <br />• Independent contractors and artists are eligible, including but not limited to working <br />artists, teaching artists, actors, choreographers, costumers, craftspeople, curators, <br />dancers, designers, directors, exhibit preparators, musicians, stage technicians, <br />writers, and others employed in arts & culture professions <br />• Must be a resident of the City of Santa Ana who is 21 years of age or older. Evidence <br />of primary residence in Santa Ana must be provided <br />• Individuals who received prior Federal and state disaster funding are eligible; <br />however, funding must be used on alternative eligible expenses <br />* In order to qualify, business or non-profit must be eligible to receive federal funding. <br />IV.
