Amend the municipal code regarding City’s registration and maintenance registration program to include vacant and historic properties.Provide additional tools for city staff to enforce and hold property owners of vacant properties responsible for properly maintaining and securing their properties.Provide the city the ability to require the posting of bonds by property owners, installation of fencing on all vacant properties, and additional private security monitoring. Apply the current registration fee of $513 and increase fee to allow for monthly inspections of the vacant properties -- an approximate increase of $800. 75A4RECOMMENDED ACTION
